Health Year 2013

Due to  shortage of equipment, laboratory, Doctors, nursing Staffs and depleted infrastructure unable  to bring improvement in health care facilities in Pakistan.  Since Govt of Pakisan  has limited resource,  it is can not  fully meet  medical need of  population living in rural and urban areas of Pakistan. NBP in partnership with NGO’s & Organizations holding medical & Eye Camps in remote areas of Pakistan as also bank provide financial & Equipment support to various General hospitals.

 

NBP Adopted Female Ward of Mary Adelaide Leprosy Centre

Bank continue adopted a female ward of MALC since last 5 years and contributing over a million of rupees per annum so that leprosy patients belong to underprivileged segment of our society can get free treatment at the hospital. During the year 212 female patients provided free treatment including medicines and surgical facilities.

 

NBP Contribution to SIUT Sukkur

Dr. Adeeb-ul-Hassan Rizvi striving hard to open Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT) in various part of the country to provide free of cost treatment to underprivileged people from all over the country. NBP supported the cause.

 
The Construction of Lab & X- Ray facilities at Noor Memorial Hospital Chakwal

The Bin Qutab Foundation Chakwal in partnership with NBP developing the Noor Memorial Hospital,  Trauma Centre has been completed, whereas bank will provide financial assistance for the construction of Lab and X-ray facilities, The OPD will be in operation by the end of 2014 for the benefit of local population.

 
Equipment Support to DHQ Hospital,Skardu-2013

DHQ Hospital Skardu is located in foothills of Skardu Gilgit Baltistan and provides medical cover to people living in surrounding area & villages in difficult conditions.  The hospital has very limited lifesaving equipment.  NBP upgraded the hospital with supply of necessary equipment particularly used in Operation Theater.

Blood Analyzer Thalassemia Center Swat
NBP has donated the most critical Machine of a Blood Bank - This machine separates Whole Blood into its main components (Red Blood, Plasma and Platelets). Red Blood are used to transfuse thalassemia patients. Without blood analyzer, Patients use to travel remote area to Islamabad which was an extra burden on the family. Now families have no worries and best facility available at their door step.

Medical & Eye Camps

NBP organized 13 Medical and Eye Camps During 2013 in urban and rural areas throughout Pakistan.  About 4000-5000 Patients were examine, more than 250 patients were operated upon 1200 eye sight glasses were distributed and above 2500 patients received free of cost medicine.  These Medical/Eye camps were held at Mubarak Village Karachi, Haroonabad, Uch-Shareef Tehsil Ahmedpur East, Jalala District Mardan, Village Pirakoot Tehsil Wazirabad, Jafferabad Baluchistan, and Hattian Bala & Pattika   Muzaffarabad. NBP also held a special camp for fistula patients at Dadu with the help of Thardeep NGO, (Gyne problem).

Medical Camp at Distt. Jaffarabad, Baluchistan
NBP- MALC organized free medical camp at Usta Muhammad & Dera Allahyar Distt, Jaffarabad. About 600-700 Patients were examined by dedicated Doctors and provided free medicines. 
 
Eye Camp at Muzzafarabad (Azad Jammu & Kashmir)
NBP in collaboration with Al-Shifa Eye Hospital, organized eye camps at Hattian and Pattika village. In both camps 900 Patients examined, 45 Cataract operations were performed.  About 500 eye sight glasses and medicine distributed free of cost.
 
Medical Camp at Village Bhubhar - Chakwal
NBP organized a medical camp at Village Bhubhar, District Chakwal with help of a local NGO, Bin Qutub Foundation. Since the village is far from the City area local population especially poor are facing health related issues.  Majority of them were suffering from water borne diseases like fever, stomach problems, etc. Team of Doctors treated about 400 patients and provided them free medicines.
 
Fistula Surgery Medical Camp at Dadu-Sindh

NBP organized a medical camp for treatment of women with fistula disease with the help of Thardeep Rural Development Program (TRDP) at Civil Hospital, Dadu. It is very common ailment in interior sind occur due to mishandling of Gynea problem of a women. If Untreated at early stage women may not produce child. A doctor  conducted 30 fistula surgery, the cost of surgery and medicines was beared by NBP.

NBP Organized Medical Camp at Village Pirakot, Ghakkar Mandi-Tehsil Wazirabad. Majority of population is suffring from Malira, Typhoid, Fever, Hepatitis and Skin diseases are common in this part of Punjab. Team of Doctors treated about 400 patients and provided them free medicines.
 
NBP Eye Camp at Jalala Village Distt Mardan KPK
Eye Camp was held at Jalal Village District Mardan, 600 patients male and female were examined, 30 Cataract patients were operated upon and provided with free medicines/eye sight glasses.
