FAQ’s (CASH OVER THE COUNTER TRANSACTIONS)

Can I know the status of my Cash payment?

Answer:Global id is required to check the transaction status in the system. You may call our helpline on 021-111-627-627

Can I collect my COC payment from any NBP branch?

Answer:Yes, you can collect your remittance from any NBP branch across the country.

What is the procedure of name amendment/correction in case of incorrect name received in the system from remitting end?

Answer:kindly contact your sender to make the necessary corrections.

Which identification is mandatory to collect the COC payment from branches?

Answer:Beneficiary must have at least one original document from the following to collect the cash payment.

  • Valid CNIC
  • Passport
  • Driving license.

What are the banking hours to collect the COC payment?

Answer:Beneficiary may collect the remittance from 09:00 am to 05:00 pm.

Can I receive SMS on my mobile phone once my COC payment is available in the system for collection?

Answer:Yes, if valid mobile number is received with the payment instructions from the remitting end, then SMS is sent once payment is processed and available for collection.

What details are required at the time of collection of my COC payment.

Answer:You should know the Global ID, Expected amount in PKR, Remitter name & remitting country.


FAQ’s (ACCOUNT TRANSFER TRANSACTIONS)

Can I know about the status of my account credit transaction that payment received or not in my account?

Answer:Global ID is required to check the transaction status in the system.

What’s the amendment/correction procedure if transaction held in the system due to invalid account details?

Answer:kindly contact your sender to make the necessary corrections.

What’s the transaction crediting time.

Answer:Same day.

What are the details required by sender to send money into account?

Answer:Sender will provide IBAN No/Account number, Title of account, Bank & Branch name of the beneficiary to the remitting agency.

Can I receive SMS on my mobile phone once payment is received/credited?

Answer:Yes, if valid mobile number is received with the payment instructions from the remitting end, then SMS is sent once payment is processed and credited.


FAQ’s (Foree Remittance Account)

Can a non-resident or foreign national open Foree Remittance Account?

Answer: No. Foree Remittance Account is meant for resident individuals having Pakistani nationality only.

Is there restriction on Local credit in Foree Remittance Account?

Answer: No. There is no such restriction of on Foree Remittance Account. This account can be used for Inward Remittances as well as Local credits.

What are the minimum documents required to open Foree Remittance Account?

Answer: In order to open Foree Remittance Account, following are minimum documents requirement.

  • Valid CNIC
  • Income Proof (Last Remittance Slip of CoC can be treated as income proof)
  • Last paid utility bill

What is the treatment of WHT at time of cash withdrawal?

Answer: Treatment of Withholding tax on cash withdrawal will be as applicable on PLS accounts.

Is ATM card issued against Foree Remittance Account?

Answer: Yes, EMV Debit Card will be issued.

Is Zakat deducted on Foree Remittance Account?

Answer: Yes, Foree Remittance Account will qualify for Zakat deduction as applicable on PLS Deposit Accounts/schemes.

Is there any maintenance fees on Fore Remittance Account?

Answer: No Account Maintenance fees will be applicable.

Is there any minimum balance requirement on Fore Remittance Account?

Answer: No monthly minimum balance requirement.
