Q. What are the available denominations?
The minimum amount required for investment in NBP Premium Aamdani Certificate is set as Rs.20,000/. Additional amount will be accepted in multiples of Rs.5,000/- and maximum amount of investment allowed is Rs.10 million.
Q. Can we encash our certificates before maturity?
- If the Premium Aamdani Certificate is encashed before 12 months, profit paid will be calculated at the PLS Saving rate and excess profit paid will be adjusted from the principal.
- If PAC is encashed after 12 months but before the end of the 2nd year, profit paid will be calculated on the basis of the 1st year rate.
- If PAC is encashed after 24 months but before the end of the 3rd year, profit paid will be calculated on the basis of the 2nd year rate.
- If PAC is encashed after 36 months but before the end of the 4th year, profit paid will be calculated on the basis of the 3rd year rate.
- If PAC is encashed after 48 months but before the end of the 5th year, profit paid will be calculated on the basis of the 4th year rate.
No penalty amount is applicable on premature encashment
Q. Is zakat applicable on Premium Aamdani Certificates?
Investment will be subject to deduction of zakat as per the following rules:
- Zakat, where applicable, will be deducted for each year on principal amount at the time of encashment of the certificate.
